The passing of Shawn Charles Robbins, age 43, of Nicholson, has been announced following his unexpected death on April 17, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center.
Shawn was a devoted husband, father, and dedicated farmer whose life centered on family, hard work, and community. A proud third-generation dairy farmer, he owned and operated Robbins Dairy Farm alongside his wife, Marja, and their children, Carter Charles and Raelyn Marie. His commitment to both his family and his work defined the life he built.
Born on July 14, 1982, in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, Shawn was the son of Donald and Barbara Robbins. He graduated from Mountain View High School, Class of 2000, where he was active in basketball, and later furthered his education at Johnson College.
Known for his strong work ethic and practical skills, Shawn earned the reputation of a dependable “jack of all trades.” Beyond farming, he enjoyed simple pleasures—working with his International Harvester tractors, supporting the San Francisco 49ers, relaxing around campfires, and spending meaningful time with his family. He also loved country music and cherished annual trips to the Great Smoky Mountains.
Shawn is deeply mourned by his parents, his extended family, and a wide circle of friends and neighbors whose lives he touched through his kindness and willingness to help others.
A private service will be held on the family farm. In honoring his memory, loved ones are encouraged to carry forward his spirit of generosity—whether through simple acts of kindness or by raising a glass of milk in tribute to the life he so proudly lived.
