Zaire Usher-Evans, a 21-year-old resident of Franklin, has tragically died after sustaining gunshot wounds in the early hours of April 19, 2026.
According to authorities, the shooting occurred around 2:02 a.m. on Bruce Street. Emergency responders transported Usher-Evans to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where medical personnel worked to save his life. Despite their efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries.
